Here at Sprocketwerks we try to bring our readers many different
types of feature bikes. In the past we have featured bonus bikes
along side our regular feature bikes. This month our bonus bike
is a 2004 Suzuki GSXR 1000 that is setup up for the street as
well as a trip to the drag way.
This bike was fitted with a swingarm from Trac that measures
10 inches over stock. A set of RC Component Gladiator wheels
and a 240mm rear tire get the power to the ground. Helping get
more power out of this bike is a TiForce exhaust, Power Commander
III "R", and a dry NOS system with progressor.
Once the power was beefed up the bike needed to get the power
down as smooth as possible. The suspension was re-worked with
a new rear shock, lowered and tuned front forks, a Scott’s
stabilizer, NOS Air Shifter, and CRG Levers.
After this bike is done laying down mid 9 second quarter mile
times it cleans up nicely for the street. The bike was custom
painted with real flames on a black base. An undertail, Pig
Spotter mirrors, front flush mount turn signals, and six-shooter
bar ends put the finishing touches for this dual purpose bike.
Check back soon as we will continue to feature more bonus
bikes in the near future…..
